Jin Long Xi Zhu

Ingredients (serves 8-12)

• 200 g glutinous rice powder
• hot water
• variety of canned fruits in syrup, e.g. cherries, lychees, mandarins.

Preparation

1. Mix the rice powder with the hot water until a thick smooth mixture results.
2. Roll small balls (app. 1 cm, 1/2 in diameter) from the mixture — this should give you lots of them!
3. Mix the fruits and their syrup in a pan, bring to boil, then turn off the fire. Add the rice powder balls and serve in a suitable bowl.
